'Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional'

About your Practitioner Jamie Laird

Jamie Laird, Licensed Massage Therapist since 2007

My interest in massage therapy first started with a passion for learning about the body and how it works. I have been practicing massage for well over a decade now and even taught for 4 years locally at ISB. Throughout my years of experience, I have been able to help many people find pain relief but my passion has led me to new ways of doing so. I have found a new treatment that yields longer-lasting results, utilizes objective-based data, and is functional based to get you moving better.

One of the most misdiagnosed problems in the body is scar tissue and is overlooked during the treatment process (pt, chiro, ortho, exercise, foam rolling, etc). Scar tissue is like glue inside your muscles. It makes the job of the muscle to stretch and contract very hard to do, which is part of the reason why you have the pain. The other is due to the pressure that scar tissue puts on your bones, cartilage, discs, and tendons. We then take into account the degeneration and inflammation that come from any chronic injury. Scar tissue found in injuries can happen in many different ways: surgery, trauma/accident even the “almost” accidents, and from repetitive overuse from our daily life, job, sports (even from back in the day), and unfortunately from our phones. If left untreated it can become a bigger problem and at this point, your quality of life has already suffered enough. I am an expert at finding and fixing scar tissue. utilizing The Peak Injury Treatment Method. This leads to a significant increase in overall functioning and long-lasting pain relief!

I specialize in the shoulder and neck areas only, in order to bring the best hands-on care and knowledge-based treatment that I can. The mission of The Peak Method is to keep clients from getting injections, unnecessary surgeries, and avoid pain pills. We want to make chronic injuries obsolete! Here is a list of injuries I can help you with:

Pinched nerves of the neck and shoulder

Carpal tunnel, ulnar nerve/golfers elbow, and radial nerve/tennis elbow

Rotator cuff injuries

Frozen shoulder

Shoulder bursitis

Shoulder cartilage injuries

Winging scapula

Degenerative disc disease

Tendonitis and/or tendonosis in the shoulder, arm, wrist, or hand

Order of care:

Schedule a free phone consult- only takes about 10-15 mins and is used to ensure that I have the best knowledge before walking into the treatment room

Schedule an exam- a functional evaluation of your body area using objective-based data and then we develop a treatment plan

Treatments- precise, brief, and intense through the use of manual scar tissue removal and instrument scar tissue removal

I look forward to meeting you and even more to bringing you long, lasting pain relief!
